installation of lms unit

LMS France units are rapidly installed in the field. Two persons can install and start the operation of a LMS unit within an hour by following the instructions given in the user manual.

It is better to choose an area closed to water source offering sufficient quantity of water, free of chemical contamination, and easy to access to facilitate the distribution of drinking water produced.

The installation of LMS France units is based on the following scheme. Some changes may be noted regarding special versions.

• Place the perforated pipe with socket in the water source (river, lake, less than 6m depth well).
• Place the extremity of the hose equipped with a stainer and a float into the socket. Be careful not to put it at the bottom of the socket by adjusting the float height.
• Connect the other extremity of this hose to the pump inlet.
• Connect the pump outlet to the coagulation chamber, equipped with a static mixer, thanks to the supplied hose.
• Connect the coagulation chamber to the flocculation chamber, equipped with a static mixer. 
• After the flocculation chamber 100m (4x25m) of flat hoses ended by a yellow fitting must be installed.
• Connect this yellow fitting to the yellow inlet of the sand filter multiport valve.
• The hose with the 2 black fittings is intended to connect the black outlet of sand filter multiport valve to the black inlet of the activated carbon filter multiport valve.
• The blue outlet of the unit is to be connected to a storage tank (option) thanks to a supplied hose equipped with a blue fitting.

The matching of colours allows the easy installation of the unit without any specific knowledge of the treatment process.

Before the starting of the unit operation, select the appropriate coagulant and flocculant by making a Jar test in laboratory or on the spot.

Then, after having filled the self-priming pump with raw water to allow suction, you can start the unit operation.
